Newegg cares about one thing and one thing only. Making sales and getting paid. Who they sell to and how they sell to them is not of their concern. They promote scalping because of their marketplace. Glad I havent given them any business in over a decade.

Newegg has quickly eroded the goodwill they've built over the last couple decades

@halohunter72 as opposed to your reply? Please do feel free to share your wisdom with us. The 4080 isn't competing with the 4090, it is competing with the last gen and AMDs upcoming current gen. Coming from 3080 I see absolutely no reason to burn money. Maybe someone coming from an older gen may have more incentive but the 4080 is simply too expensive to comfortably slot on between existing and upcoming GPUs. Now there is the matter of 4090 supply and what that actually means as far as relative value

@halohunter72 Gaming at 5120x1440 or 4k, along with VR. The 4080 isn't up to the task, only the best will do.

@revolver3131 Meme reply. I encourage you to give it some thought when you consider the price drop.

Mahubbert12 what is AMD announcing is it a faster CPU?

I haven't heard anything about a GPU announcement. Allegedly it is just AM5 x3d stuff. I'm building a computer from scratch coming from x99/1080ti. I don't mind dropping $8k on a complete build between all the components, but I'm not paying a scumbag 500$ over MSRP for a GPU. 4090 is a great generational leap, but a 7900XTX basically gets me the same ultra FPS in COD, so what do I care red or green at this point? 2022 --> there is no excuse for not even attempting to curb the reselling. Nvidia has no loyalty to us and we damn sure should feel the same way.

Supreme doesn't do preorders either. Nvidia thinks they are like them I guess. I asked Newegg this last week. They simply hung up me. Look guys retailers/etailers do not care who gets them. One guy on ebay is down to 3 4090's for sale. Down to three. I haven't even seen a 4090FE in stock let alone have 3 to sell. We are all screwed and will all be disappointed.

Straight up what is up with graphics cards/retailers not doing pre-orders this situation is getting obnoxious I shouldn't have to camp my phone for the honor of maybe being allowed to put a $2000 toy in a cart before being told it's not available.

@halohunter72 nothing makes the 4080 look good

Even if I got ahold of a 4090 it would just end up on the shelf until the AMD CES announcements. Not sure I understand Nvidias play here with supply chain shortage, unless the chip yields are just that bad this generation. Would be hilarious if the market flooded with 4090s post 1 Jan with a fat new MSRP played off as the tariff exception expiration.

4090s being out of stock so long and over $2000 on Ebay is making the 4080 look really good right now.

I hope scalpers get hung from their nuts and fed to cartel dogs, I hope theyre having fun putting themselves in debt

Clearly Newegg doesn't care. They just disable their return policy and take anyone's money.

How hard is it to implement a Captcha Newegg?

yeah bots run amok on Newegg. You'd think that being a tech focused firm and all, Newegg would have at least something to block em
· ·

mrwilkins88 · 4 hours ago
Yeah Newegg is hopeless. Can't beat the bots... They just flood it and cause the webpage to break and they're all gone... And in the off chance you somehow sneak through they'll probably cancel your order

Im convinced Newegg sells directly to scalpers at this point, theres zero website stability and not even an are you a bot? check.

I get wanting to make a profit, but I seriously hope the people reselling these cards wake up with ingrown toenails. All 10 of them.
