Finally, scored a 5950x through Amazon for MSRP, but the new 5950x 3D V-Cache Stack Chiplet design have me rethinking my purchase.

Nothing says nerve racking like not seeing a update for your package that is a 5950x since June 1st. And should be delivered Monday.

Fyi, amazon has them available to purchase right now. Look at other sellers and find amazon at $799. Estimated delivery: June 26, 2021 - June 27, 2021

I did it guys! I managed to place an order when Walmart had them listed for $799. I was worried by the comments on the website that they were going to send me a 5900 despite the website having the 5950x picture and sku. I rolled the dice and have a 5950x in hand at MSRP!

My February 3rd Amazon order for retail price was delivered today. I finally have the 5950X in my hands. I started this journey starting on the release date, and I refused to buy from scalpers. Hang in their fellas. Dont over pay. Dont feed the scalper problem.

The $999 Amazon deal was well worth it IMO. I preordered a unit for $994 from a small local shop in the beginning of March and was told the next shipment would come in a week after. Fast forward 2 months and I'm still waitig on this one last part to finish the build. If you want to sit around waiting, just to save $150 on a performance build, more power to you, but I think a 5950x from a reputable seller for under $1000 is worth it at this point.

I just bought this for 999 dollars on Amazon, only because i got 200 free cash back as a result of a credit card event (spend 2,000 dollars on your credit card, get 200). I virtually got it for 860, but screw these scalpers. If this cash back wasn't expiring, i wouldn't have ever payed for this CPU, even after ive been waiting since launch.

If anyone who ordered from Amazon on February 3rd is still holding on to their order, I just got an update that my expected delivery was moved up from the second week of June to the first week of May, so hopefully even if you haven't gotten that message yet, you'll get it soon. Please pray for me, this is the last MFing thing I need for my build. Cheers, all!

999$ is actually tempting

USD 800, do not pay more than that. Let the scalpers keep their inventories full

I also got an update on my Amazon order placed on February 3rd. Expected delivery between June 8th and June 10th. Nice to have an actual date, I guess... But almost two more months? FML.
